<p>&#8220;The Bank of Pakistan always seemed a strange building to me.  Although Sauchiehall Street has nearly every architectural style one can think of at some point along its length I could never quite place it, probably post-modernist.</p>
<p>&#8220;Unfortunately it probably outgrew it&#8217;s use and was unsuitable for refurbishment due to is form and previous function. &#8221;<br />

<p>These qualities have not gone unnoted in various architecture guides describing an &#8216;enigmatic, triangular patterned stone facade and marbled door surround open(ing) into a brilliantly lit interior with Egyptian detail and mastery of spatial effects.&#8217; So regaled Central Glasgow, An Illustrated Architectural Guide, McKean, Walker and Walker.</p>
